WPC façade: the durable alternative in façade construction
A façade cladding made of WPC is the contemporary and innovative alternative to the common materials used in façade construction. WPC façade cladding: the sustainable façade made of wood and plastic
You think the terms plastic and sustainability are mutually exclusive? Not so with WPC panels! The reason for this is that WPC is generally a recycled product. Polyethylene and polypropylene are used as raw materials. These plastics from the yellow bag are chopped up and melted by heating. Wood fibres are added to this liquid. Normally, this is sawdust, which is produced in the processing industry. However, nut shells, tree bark and wood cuttings also find their way into the chipping and subsequent processing into WPC.
WPC, Wood Plastic Composite, is also produced as BPC, Bamboo Plastic Composite, with BPC being a bit more flexible than WPC due to bamboo’s grass-like characteristics.
After the wood fibres and the liquid plastic have been thoroughly mixed, the slurry is poured into moulds. The particular advantage here is that WPC façade cladding can be cast into any shape imaginable, which is hard to beat in terms of design.

A Remarkably Natural Looking Imitation Wood
The texture of WEO cladding is similar to that of a living material. It is made up of a set of micro-reliefs and depressions, that resemble natural wood. To the naked eye, the product looks as if it has natural surface fibers.
In order to further enhance that real wood look, the colors on the cladding are not homogeneous. They are composed of several multi-colored pigments that randomly mix to mimic the grain of a wooden plank.
When compared with natural wood, the resemblance is striking. But that’s where the comparison ends, because, unlike wood, WEO cladding is extremely durable and is insensitive to light and UV discolouration. The material is composed of sawdust that is mixed with polyethylene. This polyethylene-based waterproof film considerably reduces façade maintenance and maintains board colour over time. The original colour of WEO cladding is guaranteed for up to 20 years. WEO cladding is also completely resistant to weather and insect infestation. With WEO cladding you get a natural, warm wood look that is guaranteed to last.
